The Senator Hotel - Kolkata

The central location made exploring the area easy.

I found the receptionists unprofessional and lacking in courtesy. The food options were limited and did not meet my expectations for the local cuisine. Lastly, the Wi-Fi connection was spotty at best, often leaving me disconnected when I needed it most.

The whole experience was wonderful. Ideal hotel, I truly enjoyed excellent location and functional rooms. Location: the property was near Kolkata for a meeting, St Paul's Cathedral and sea of unfamiliar faces. There was dessert restaurant Gelato Italiano, that I found within 5 minutes' walk of the hotel. Unfortunately Wi-Fi was weak.

Delicious, lovely breakfast with many food items. Location: particularly good and ideal, not far from the park street as well as posh areas of Camac street of Kolkata.

The location is decent, and the room was clean enough, albeit with slightly stained sheets. I expected a room upgrade but received nothing! Their staff seems completely unaware of basic courtesy, purely transactional, honestly. Maybe if they cared even a little, this place might not be so ordinary. I almost gave a good review, but just couldn't.

The Senator served up some of the best local eats I've had, especially the regional bread that was divine. The peaceful ambiance despite the bustling location was great. Plus, the staff were helpful, even scoring me a ride to a cozy little eatery nearby.

Everything else shined.

Senator had a great breakfast buffet that really kickstarted my mornings. The central location was perfect, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. The staff was especially helpful and always kept us well supplied with water during our 7-night stay.

I spent 7 nights in a Crystal Double Room and found the staff helpful, always willing to assist. The location provided easy access to local dining options. For a quiet afternoon, take advantage of the cozy lobby areas to unwind. Just be cautious while ordering room service.

I really enjoyed my time here, especially the clean rooms and the mini bar that had everything I needed. You can take advantage of the cozy spots to relax or enjoy a lovely meal delivered to your room. The only downside was a bit of noise from the street but it didn't ruin my stay at all, so I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try 😊

The rooms at this place are beautifully maintained, the staff is excellent, and we loved having a sofa in our room.

Convenient amenities like climate control, multi-channel television, and a fridge in the double room made our stay more comfortable. 📺 Also, the location was great with a market and stores within walking distance, which was super convenient.
